Farnaz Salehzadeh has 20 years of experience working in student recruitment, marketing and academic administration. She joined the National Security College in 2012 as the Academic Program Coordinator for the graduate studies program. Her career focus has been on international and domestic student recruitment, student administration, marketing and academic budget planning. Farnaz has created innovative marketing and recruitment strategies for the NSC, and has travelled extensively throughout Australia, Asia and the world speaking to students about postgraduate studies. This has helped her develop a distinct appreciation of students’ needs and how these can be met by the College.
Prior to joining the NSC, Farnaz worked in the Division of Student Recruitment and International Admissions where she gained invaluable experience working with domestic and international students and an understanding of student administrative process at the ANU. She then joined the Department of International Relations, where she received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Career Achievement, the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies General Staff Development Award, the ANU Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning, and the ANU College of Asia and Pacific Award for a program that Enhances Student Learning.
Farnaz holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Diploma of Management.
