A new look: Society and Policy Forum
To celebrate five years of publishing great analysis and insights on public policy, Crawford’s blog Policy Forum has changed to a fresh new design and the Asia & the Pacific Policy Society has been relaunched with a new leadership team and new logo.
The Asia & the Pacific Policy Society is a membership organisation of more than 3000 people engaged in policy throughout the world. Based at Crawford School, the Society connects policymakers, academics, students, and Crawford alumni around the world.
As part of the relaunch, the Society has a new President – Professor Helen Sullivan, who takes over from outgoing President Professor Tom Kompas. Professor Sullivan will be assisted by the Society’s Convenor Professor Quentin Grafton.
But the changes to the Society go beyond just a new logo, as Professor Sullivan explains.
“Earlier this year we asked Society members to take part in a survey on what they wanted the Society to be and do for them. Over the last few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to reshape the Society to reflect the responses and comments we got.
“Over the next year, you will start to see some of those changes. They include a greater focus on events streamed online, more opportunities to access special events and short professional development courses at reduced rates, and access to our podcast – Policy Forum Pod – before everyone else gets it,” she said.
The Society’s new look is reflected in the fresh new design for Policy Forum, Crawford’s public policy blog. The new site is more user-friendly, and easy to navigate. The changes come as Policy Forum celebrates its fifth birthday. In the last five years the site has published around 2000 pieces from more than 1400 authors from all around the world.
