About the Journal

Asia and the Pacific Policy Studies (APPS) is the flagship journal of Crawford School of Public Policy at The Australian National University. It is a peer-reviewed open access journal that targets research in policy studies in Australia, Asia and the Pacific, across a discipline focus that includes economics, political science, governance, development and the environment. The goal of the journal is to break down barriers across disciplines, and generate policy impact.

The editorial office for Asia and the Pacific Policy Studies is based in Crawford School at The Australian National University in Canberra. Professor Tom Kompas, former Director of the Crawford School of Public Policy, is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal. Professor Kompas is supported by a group of Editors and Society Fellows.

Outreach activities are highlighted on Asia and the Pacific Policy Studies Online. Policy briefs are issued as part of an associated program of dissemination and outreach activities, which includes executive in-country seminars and the annual conference of the Asia and the Pacific Policy Society.

Asia and the Pacific Policy Studies is published online three times a year by Wiley, with all contributions made freely available from Wiley Online Library without restriction. The first ‘early view articles’ from the journal’s first issue are currently available online.
